The reader printer module (RPM) is a combined high speed thermal printer and ticket (image) reader peripheral with front and rear mounted graphic LCDs.

The RPM is powered from a single rail 24VDC power pack with USB communication interface to a host platform. Contemporary design philosophies and techniques are employed to produce a modern and sleek desk mounted unit. When combined with the Customer Information Terminal (CIT), facilitates a complete wagering or retail point of sale solution.

The RPM reads betslip marks, barcodes and images on standard 82.5mm paper stock and thermal paper. Customized state-of-the-art contact image sensor and video image processing provides the universal reading functionality of the reader. A low speed low resolution thermal printing feature of the reader brands ticket vouchers for validation. The ticket vouchers are printed at high speed on thermal paper and deposited in an exit tray for easy removal.

Separate modules facilitates easy maintenance, repairs and paper replacement. An internal 4 port USB hub communicates to each module with a single downstream port connecting to the computer.
